Moving Bed Bio-Reactor (MBBR)

STP Process

1. Preliminary Treatment (Screening)

Raw sewage enters the bar screen chamber to remove large debris, rags, and solids, protecting downstream equipment.

2. Equalization & Anaerobic Phase

The flow is homogenized and pH is balanced. Anaerobic conditions start breaking down complex organics before aeration.

3. Aeration (MBBR Reactor)

The heart of the process. Blowers inject air, creating aerobic conditions where bio-media carriers facilitate massive growth of purifying bacteria.

4. Clarification / Secondary Settling

Biological flocs and spent biomass settle out in the clarifier/settling tank, producing clear supernatant and dense sludge.

5. Tertiary Filtration

Water passes through Dual Media Filter (DMF) and Activated Carbon Filter (ACF) to remove fine suspended solids, color, and odor.

6. Disinfection & Discharge

Final polishing with Sodium Hypochlorite (Chlorination) or UV light ensures pathogen removal, making the water safe for reuse.
